You can easily manage your PHP version, enable or disable PHP extensions, and adjust PHP settings directly from cPanel without needing to edit configuration files manually.


Changing PHP Version

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.

  2. In the SOFTWARE section, click on Select PHP Version.

  3. Your current PHP version will be displayed.

  4. From the Current PHP Version dropdown, select the desired PHP version.

  5. The change takes effect immediately.


Managing PHP Extensions

  1. Log in to cPanel.

  2. Go to Select PHP Version under the SOFTWARE section.

  3. You will see a list of available PHP extensions.

  4. To enable an extension, check the box next to its name.

  5. To disable an extension, uncheck its box.

  6. Changes are saved automatically.

  7. To revert all extensions to default, click Reset to default in the top-right corner.


Modifying PHP Settings (Configuration Directives)

  1. Log in to cPanel.

  2. Navigate to Select PHP Version in the SOFTWARE section.

  3. Click the Options tab near the top of the page.

  4. Click the value next to the setting you want to change.

  5. Depending on the setting, a dropdown or text box will appear allowing you to select or enter a value.

  6. Changes save automatically and apply immediately.


This feature allows you to control PHP configuration such as allow_url_fopen, error_log, and many other directives, all without managing custom php.ini files.
